From the series “Wake Up in Your Drawing” (2023) nr. 74 (1/7)
After waking from hospital, Paul Koning instinctively reached for a pencil and began to draw again. Koning, in his eighties, continues to create a drawing everyday with remarkable vitality.
In this series, he frees himself from conventional art traditions by drawing ‘blind’, trusting his instinct and experience. The minuscule dots of layered colour reveal something new each day, rewarding mindful looking.
Limited Edition: 7 | Medium: high-quality fine art print on Hahnemühle museum-grade paper | Selection: Carefully curated out of 80 drawings for its composition, clarity and use of colors.
