PAUL
KONING
(1943 - 2026)
A true artist in every sense. Driven by an inner calling, Koning created every single day. More than six decades of work, now gradually revealed. His art is presented exclusively by Komitto.art, in loving memory.
Koning Originals
Until the last day of his life, Paul Koning worked in his monastery studio in Vogelenzang, the Netherlands.
His originals range from large paintings and etchings to works on paper and sculptures. Some bursting with vivid colour and bold brushstrokes, others distilled into black-and-white minimalism. His technical mastery and intuitive style, inspired by Japanese calligraphy, nature and spirituality, make every piece unmistakably his.
Koning Editions
A limited, curated selection of drawings from Paul Koning's late period, made between the ages of 80 and 83. These drawings form a statement of artistic freedom, the culmination of a lifelong practice.
At its centre is the Blind Drawing series, a deeply personal visual language built from thousands of coloured dots. Fields of Veronese green evoke an atmosphere between the visible world and what lies beyond, a threshold Koning once experienced and returned to in these fine art works.
The Blind Drawing series will be shown publicly for the first time at an upcoming art fair. Register your interest to be kept informed.
